Forum Warns Against Convening FEC Meeting Without Minister Representing Kaduna

A group, Amalgamated Kaduna Peoples Forum has tasked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to in fairness to Kaduna State, ensure that a ministerial nominee from the state is appointed, screened and sworn-in before the first 

Federal  Executive Council (FEC) is convened.

They expressed this at a press conference held in Kaduna on Friday August 18, 2023.

“The Renewed Hope Initiative of Mr. President and the task ahead of us is challenging and  enormous, we are calling on Mr. President to: Ensure that the Ministerial Slot of Kaduna State be filled before the first Federal  Executive Council (FEC) to enable us have a representative and to genuinely 

contribute to National development,” they demanded.

Reading the text of the briefing,  its convener, Jibril Adamu Seze said that Tinubu must be resolute and avoid being misled by those they tagged, “Villa Cabals”.

“Mr. President must be resolute and focus to enable him identify what Nigerians  tag as “Villa Cabals” individuals who constantly prevent nice ideas to flow by  frustrating brilliant, competent and result oriented people around.

“We are appealing to Mr. President to demonstrate commitment by giving Kaduna  people more opportunity at the National to proof his love for Kaduna being el

Rufai’s state,” they added.

According to them, the reward for el-Rufai’s courage, bravery and political landscaping should be  recognized as a mark of honor especially his patriotic choice of a Southern President, he stood against currency redesign policy alongside other governors all in an effort to secure a Southern President and many more which played a  significant role in bringing this administration onboard.

“This commitment should  not be neglected at all cost,” they warned.

According to them, “As  Professionals with vast knowledge and experience in mobilizing/coordinating fellow 

Like-minded people to work in promoting democracy by focusing on engagement,  reconciliation, dialogue and consultation rather than criticizing irrationally. 

“We have not in any given circumstances, undermined the ability and capacity of this noble 

administration and as patriotic citizens of our nation, we are all committed to building a 

sustainable new Nigerian of our dream free from all sorts of distraction,” they stressed. 

They therefore,  used the opportunity to appreciate individuals and groups who supported the then nomination of   Malam Nasir el-Rufai whom they described as their leader.

“We all have contributions to make in  making Nigeria great either as a public office holder’sor otherwise,” they added.

They mocked tose who wrote petition against the nomination against Mal. Nasiru dl-Rufai, pointing out that they have done more harm than good to the collective aspiration of Nigerians, “by denying this progressive  administration the services of reformer, developer and builder of men.

“We are confident and optimistic that His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani considering his  antecedent of track records will build extensively in transforming Kaduna and make it the  best among equal”.

They acknowledged and recognized, “with  all sense of humility, respect, 

support and love for Mal. Nasir el-Rufai, he served us for good 8-years and he transform  Kaduna by making it an invest investment destination of choice.”
