Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmad Bamalli has launched Indorama Agricultural Development Center (IADC) with a call on farmers to make use the center to increase their food production,
Represented by the Wakilin Fulanin Zazzau, Alhaji Mohammed Buhari, he said that the center will solve a lot of farmers problems with regards to fertilizer application and soil problems.
Bamalli noted that the fertilizer company has over the years, contributed much to the smallholder farmers in boosting their production.
According to him, the center is a landmark as Zaria has smallholder and large sçale farmers in Zazzau Emirate.
In his remarks, the General Manager of Indorama Fertilizer Company, Mr. Avijit Sinha said, the center will attend to farmers problems free of charge.
Mr. Sinha added that the facilities in the centre are world standard and already, they have such centers in six states.
Also, he informed that the company has started producing NPK of different varieties as well Urea.
The general manager assured farmers of continuous support towards providing quality fertilizer that will boost their farming.
The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Kaduna State Chairman, Alhaji Nuhu Aminu assured farmers that Indorama products are good for all crops .
Nuhu Aminu said Indorama is complementing government’s policies on agricultural transformation in Nigeria.
Commenting on the centre, Alhaji Sani Ibrahim Dan Marke who is their marketer in Zaria, congratulated Indorama Fertilizer for the establishment of the centre .
