His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman will on Saturday, April 29, 2023, confer the traditional title of Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta on a prominent son of the State, Engineer Saddiq Musa Kaita .
A statement made available to the New Nigerian in Katsina, said Engineer Saddiq Musa Kaita was the grandson of late Sarkin Fada Damale Kaita.
A Public servant according to the statement the new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tutan Katsina has achieved a lot in his chosen career and “it is hoped he will bring a lot of impact on humanity in one way or the other.”
Engineer Saddiq Musa Kaita is currently into integrated farming, generating a lot of employment to many people in the society, the statement reiterated.
Consequently, a polo match would be organised in honour of the new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta, Engineer Saddiq Musa Kaita at the Katsina Polo Ground on Friday, after which turbaning ceremony would take place at the Katsina Emir’s Palace on Saturday.
Similarly, a traditional durbar ceremony is also expected to follow shortly after the turbaning ceremony.
The new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta which was the first of its kind in Katsina holds Bachelors Degree in Electrical engineering (B.eng)from Bayero University (BUK) Kano and Masters degree in Public Administration from the Nigerian Depence Academy (NDA) Kaduna.
The statement emphasized that, Engineer Saddiq Musa Kaita is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Project Management of Nigeria, Member Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Member Council for Regulation of Engineering (MCOREN) and a project management professional (PMP) Certification (PMI-USA).
