Emir Of Gusau Confers Mu’alliyedi Gusau Title On Zamfara Speaker

The Emir of Gusau, Zamfara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello has confired traditional title of “Mu’alliyedin Gusau” on the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Garba Rikiji.

Speaking while presenting the certificate of the title to the speaker, the Emir said the title was given to the speaker following his contributions to the development of the emirate.

Bello said the “Mualliyedi is the name of  the Son of Sultan Muhammadu Bello, grandson of Sheik Usman Bin-Fodio and founder of Maradun town in the state.

“We are giving this name as a tittle to one of his grandsons, the Speaker Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji.

Bello said the title is one of the major tradition of this emirate that any of its people do good, we reward him with a traditional title as appreciation and encouragement.

“We are promoting him with new tittle of “Mu’alliyedin Gusau”, therefore it replaced his former tittle of “Shantalin Gusau”, he said.

Responsing, while receiving the certificate, Speaker thanked the emirate for giving him the title and promise to continue to work towards the development of the emirate.

Rikiji represented by the Dallatun-Gusau, Alhaji Ahmad Umar said he would work  to justify the emirate’s confidence in him as one of its ambassadors.

He then thanked the Emir for his foresight in rewarding his subjects that contribute in the development of the emirate.
