Egbe Omo Ile-Ife L’Abuja, has donated N50,000
to Alhaji Shittu Ahmed Obassa, the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Shita Abbey Professional Laundry & Cleaning Services, Guidna Community in Abuja.
The kind gesture was as a result of keeping with the pledge of the executive members when they paid a solidarity visit to the laundry shop last October.
The Vice-Chairman had earlier led a powerful delegation to the residence of Alhaji Shittu and subsequently visited the shop where two burglary incidents happened on October 19 and 28 respectively.
He made a pledge that the association will do something to enable the CEO to buy another generator and gave tips on how to secure it.
” I have this strong feeling that the association has always done this kind of gesture to its members in distress.
“Nigeria appears to me like a country where tribal associations have become a pillar of support, a veritable vehicle of unity and welfare to their members and this is one example of how people feel comfortable promoting their tribal associations in all ramifications.
“I am indeed proud today to go to the mountaintop and say it to the rooftop that I am a bona fide Ile Ife indigene and will do everything at my command to promote the ideals of Egbe Omo Ile-Ife L’Abuja and the entire country and even beyond.
“I want to thank the executive members ably led by Mr. Rotimi Ajayi, Omole Ile Opa in Ile- Ife for this kind gesture.
“May the association continue to grow from strength to strength, forward ever and backward never. Ife Oye, Olori Aiye gbogbo!!” He prayed.
