“It has become mandatory and expedient for me to address the general public and to express my disgust and dissatisfaction over the event of last two Saturday’s Elections.

“Let me state categorically, that the youth in the state, especially in our great party, are not happy over the high level of rigging (swapping of elections results) and violence at the concluded elections

“The youth are saying no to rigging and manipulation of elections results. I call on  INEC to resist every form of compromise, by not allowing themselves to be used by some politicians in manipulating election process as was demonstrated during the presidential and NASS polls.

“We have lost confidence in INEC and that is why they youths want to following them up.The can only rig that election if they are ready to kill all of us.After the Presidential elections, we lost confidence in INEC and Nigerians are highly disappointed.

“But this time around, we have written to them and to the security agencies to make sure the don’t play funny game with us.So, the can only rig this election if the are ready to kill all the youths in Ebonyi State.”

“We advice the politicians to play the election game by the rules. Respect the electoral laws in order to achieve free, fair and credible elections come March 11 governorship Elections. The youth Will not tolerate any act of violence. You must remain neutral and apolitical instead of causing disorder,” he said.

He urged security agencies to beef up security at the polling units across the 177 wards in orders to protect the votes and electorates to ensure a peaceful and credible election in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in the state.

Comrade Igwe further encouraged all the eligible voters to come out en mass to cast their votes for PDP during the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

“We, therefore, call on security agents to step up operations at the polling units across the 177 wards in order to protect both the voters and their votes as well as ensuring that the rightful voters’ are not disenfranchised.

“We urge all eligible voters in Ebonyi especially the youths in general to come out en-mass to cast their votes on March 11. Vote but don’t fight. Vote for the credible candidate, the capacity and the candidate that is God fearing for Governor and that candidate is, His Excellency, Chief Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii. This is the time to follow who know the roads for better Ebonyi.

“Cast your vote and protect it. Make sure the results are recorded on the result sheets, captured with the BVAS machine and uploaded to the INEC server before leaving the polling units and if  possible accompany the INEC officers to The Collation centres.

“On the youth readiness ahead of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections, we have mobilized our members from the grassroots to ensure that the processes are being conducted peacefully.

“We have engaged the traditional rulers and  youth heads in all the 13 local government areas of the state and they were all sensitized on the need for a peaceful and  violence free polls,” he informed.
