Ebonyi Deputy Speaker Enjoins Constituents To Embrace Peace

The Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly,  Hon Chinedu Onah has reiterated the importance of peace to the development of any given society.

He made the clarifcation at Abarigwe Secondary School, Umuogudosha in Ngbo where three villages,  namely Abarigwe, Ndiaguobu and Osege organized a reception in his honour.

Hon. Onah maintained that the modest achievements recorded in the area is through peaceful coexistence, adding that the present administration under  Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is poised to achieving more for the people under his people’s charter of needs.

The  deputy chief lawmaker used the opportunity to extol the  governor, whom he said has settled down instantly to put smiles on the faces of  Ebonyi people.

The lawmaker equally commended the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa for accelerating the passage of bills and the Ohaukwu Local Government Chairman for the peace attained in Ohaukwu.

He said that he knew he cannot satisfy everybody, but with God”s guidance and grace, he will do his best for the constituency.

Earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Prince Uche Ali Ega commended the deputy speaker for his able representation, adding that the reception is aimed at showing thier appreciation and to pledge their continued loyalty to him.

In his words, the chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Council, Prince Ikechukwu Odono showered praises on the lawmaker, adding that his representation has provided more opportunities for his constituents and implored him to continue in his quest to develop his people.

The chairman of the reception planning committee, Patrick Oge said the unparalleled representation of  Onah in the first term paved the way for the second and that his charisma in the House led to his exalted position as the Deputy Speaker and for these, the three villages deemed it necessary to honour him as the words says “give honour to whom it is due’.

The occasion witnessed the commendation of Mr Ikechukwu Ekeh, a film producer,, whose work will be displayed in Canada soon.

Dignitaries at the occasion included,  Prof John Ekeh, Commissioner for Power and Energy, Hon  Peter Ogeali, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Mobilization, Eze Paul Ituma, SA to Goverrnor on Internal Security,  Ohaukwu Local Government, Tobias Ogbonna, Leader of Ohaukwu Legislative Council, Hon Utu John, Deputy Chief of Staff Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Ede Samuel,  as well as ministers of  God, and political stalwart.
