Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano State, is widely known for his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of Nigeria.

Ganduje was the first person to start the Jagaban movement in Northern Nigeria.

At the risk of being label a sellout of the North, he took the Tinubu project like his life and survival depends solely on it.

He championed the production of the best campaign song ever produced for president Tinubu (Jagaba Shine Gaba by Rarara) during his campaign, this song did the unimaginable magic during the campaign process, the  rest they say is history.

Ganduje was the loudest voice from the North who at every opportunity will want Jagaban to be in the North to interface with Northerners.

Ganduje made it very difficult for the closest opposition party to APC to get any significant vote in Kano, knowing a Kano man being on the ballot is an opportunity for APC to strategically sniff life out of the PDP in Kano as PDP was banking on regional strength.

APC went on a rigorous scouting and gathering of votes from every possible corner through Abdullahi Yahaya the Lungu Lungu chairman, Muhammed Umar  Ganduje’s son and State APC stakeholders.

Due to his unwavering loyalty to Tinubu and his contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC), some political analysts have called for Ganduje to be compensated with a ministerial appointment.

Specifically, they argue that he should be appointed as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), given his 17 years previous experience as a Top management civil servant in the FCDA and his impressive infrastructural achievements during his tenure as Governor of Kano State.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu been a man who has always rewarded loyalty and competency, with this, i have no doubt that the call to reward Dr Abdullahi Ganduje with an FCT ministerial appointment base on the quantum of developmental project carried out in Kano State is not out of place

During his eight-year tenure as Governor of Kano, Gaduje embarked on an ambitious program of infrastructure development, which included the construction of new roads, schools, hospitals, and markets.

He also initiated a number of poverty alleviation programmes aimed at improving the standard of living of the people of Kano State.

Furthermore, Gaduje’s 17 years previous experience as a civil servant in the FCT could prove invaluable in his role as Minister of the FCT.

As a former Director Planning and Research in the FCT, he has a deep understanding of the workings of the FCT administration and is well-equipped to tackle the challenges facing the FCT.

Given his impressive track record as Governor of Kano State and his previous experience in the FCT, some argue that Ganduje would be an excellent choice for the position of Minister of the FCT.

Not only would he be able to build on his past achievements in Kano, but he would also be able to use his expertise to improve the infrastructure and services in the FCT.

However, it is ultimately up to the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to decide on the appointment of ministers.

While Ganduje’s past accomplishments and experience make him a strong candidate for the position of Minister of the FCT, it remains to be seen whether he will be appointed to this position or any other ministerial position.

In conclusion, Ganduje’s loyal service to Asiwaju Tinubu and his contributions to the APC should not go unrecognized. However, it is important that any potential ministerial appointment is based on merit and the ability to deliver results, rather than political considerations alone. If Ganduje is appointed as Minister of the FCT, he has the potential to make a significant impact on the development of the FCT and the lives of its residents base on his past antecedents.

God bless Nigeria
