Former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has been summoned for questioning by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) over the dollar videos.
Some videos of Ganduje allegedly collecting kickbacks from contractors was in 2017 released by an online publication, ‘Daily Nigerian’.
The former governor, in the videos, could be seen collecting the dollars before rolling them into his white dress, “babanriga”, which he had denied the allegation, insisting they were doctored.
Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, chairman of PCACC, said the authenticity of the videos had been confirmed, while speaking on Wednesday at a one-day public dialogue on ‘Anti-Corruption Crusade in Kano’.
Rimingado confirmed yesterday while speaking in a programme, that Ganduje has been invited for questioning.
