Depot NA Produces 12,500 Soldiers In 2023 – Comdt

The Depot Nigerian Army has trained over 12,500 soldiers in the year 2023 whom are currently contributing to the defence and Security of our great nation.

Major General Mohammed Aminu Abdullahi, Commandant Depot Nigerian Army disclosed this at the 2023 West African Social Activities (WASA) held at the Depot Parade Ground.

He said the trained soldiers were dispatched to the various operations and units into the Nigerian Army.

General Abdullahi said currently another round of training is going on for the 86th Regular Recruits Intake.

According to him, in 2024 Depot Nigerian Army will redoubled it’s efforts in line with the philosophy of Chief of Army Staff which is to transform Army towards achieving it’s constitutional responsibilities in a joint environment

In his address, the Special Guest of honour, Brig.-Gen. Aliyu Jibril, Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Military Police, echoed the importance of professionalism and adherence to the military’s core values, including loyalty, self-service, courage, discipline, and respect for others. 

As the Nigerian Army embarks on another training year, Jibril urged officers and soldiers to remain focused and resilient amidst distractions, highlighting the critical role of the military in maintaining peace and stability across Nigeria.

 He underscored the broader commitment within the Nigerian Army to uphold the highest standards of conduct and effectiveness in all operational tasks.

The 2023 WASA event not only served as a forum for reflecting on the Depot NA’s training achievements but also as a vibrant celebration of Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity.

 Brig.-Gen. Jibril commended the Depot NA for maintaining this tradition, which strengthens the bonds within the barracks community and fosters a deep appreciation for the nation’s heritage among military personnel and their families.

 Through WASA and similar initiatives, the Nigerian Army continues to nurture a sense of unity and camaraderie that is vital for the success of its missions.
