Head of Local Government Administration of Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State, Alhaji Idris Mashi has called on youth in the area to search for Islamic and Western education for a brighter future.
Alhaji Idris Mashi made the call at the graduation ceremony of 500 pupils of Hizburahim Islamiyya School Dandume.
He said “knowledge is light while illiteracy is darkness that retards the progress of individuals in the society”.
Alhaji Mashi explained that with the availability of Islamiyya, Qur’anic schools as well as Western schools in cities and villages, youth have an opportunity to be educated.
He directed that, all Islamiyya and Qur’anic schools in Dandume Local Government Area to be more committed to achieve desired objectives.
He expressed gratitude to the management of the school for their contribution to Islamic education in the locality and urged them to maintain the tempo.
Earlier speaking, Director of the school, Sheikh Tijjani Khalifa solicited government’s support in financing Islamiyya and Qur’anic schools to function well.
Sheikh Tijjani Khalifa assured that the school would not relent in its daily prayers for peace, unity and progress of the nation.
