The Kaduna State Commissioner for the Ministry of Sports Development Prof. Benjamin Kumai Gugong had a time with Coach Felix Academics and Sports Foundation Kaduna during his visit to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Saturday.
This is just as the Coach Felix Academics and Sports Foundation Kaduna which emerged the National 1st runner up and the champions of Abuja/Northern of the MTN Champs Season 1 December 2023, has regretted the shifting of the event.
Speaking to our correspondent yesterday, Coach Felix Oseibe said that the academics and sports foundation regrets the shift of the Kaduna leg of the MTN Champs to now Plateau State, due to some circumstances best known to the organisers
He explained that the foundation was also at the just concluded first leg of MTN Champs Season 2 held at Asaba Delta State.

“Multiple gold medalist and most decorated Kaduna School Girl of Coach Felix Academics and Sports Foundation, Peace Lekwot emerged the long jump under 20 champion and also won the high jump of the women’s heptathlon event.
“Kaduna number one women’s 400m runner, Temitope Olusesan also smashed her previous personal of 55.46s set while representing Kaduna State at the last National Sports Festival (NSF) held in Asaba Delta State in December 2022 to 55.94s.
“The management of the foundation extends appreciation to making of champions and MTN Nigeria for organizing and financing this lofty initiative, MTN champs does not only avail coaches and athletes with the opportunity for proper planning and testing the works done in course of the season, but will also create the discovery, developing and delivering of more coaches and athletes in the nearest that will reconnect the gaps between the elite and the grassroots,” the foundation said.
Coach Felix hailed the Kaduna State Commissioner of Sports for his dedication to grassroots sports development, while stressing that more needs to be done in that area.
