The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in this year’s election in Kaduna State, Honourable Jonathan Asake has said that he is propelled in the governorship aspiration to ensure a people’s government that will bring hope and unity to the citizens of the state.
He lamented, “Kaduna State has been taken over by terrorists that have taken away the peace and unity the state was known for, where the residents live in any part of the state with absolute peace in order to carry out their legitimate businesses and other means of livelihood.”
He added, “Today in the state, almost everybody is biting his or her fingerd for what has befallen them that there is total fear following the insecurity has taken over the state where life in the has become unbearable and there is total uncertainty that moving in search of means of livelihood is a foregone issue.”
Addressing a combined group of professionals of diverse careers in a townhall meeting in Kaduna, the gubernatorial candidate assured that his candidacy is meant to ensure total turn around, to give the people hope and for normalcy to be restored for total restoration of all spheres of life in the state.
He lamented, “The good people of Kaduna State have suffered a lot, and something urgent needs to be done. I have witnessed thousands of people being killed by terrorists, property destroyed and the government knows these people. This is not the life we wish for our children and generations unborn.
“We must all join hands together to bring an end to the killings in all parts of the state as our people deserve peace, good environment to showcase our great potentials given to us by the Almighty in order to live as a united family where no one with contrary views will have access to our harmonious living,” he stressed.
He assured, “Our pact with the Kaduna people is to secure the state and restore hope and this we shall achieve with your votes for a new beginning the will serve as a pace setter for other states in the country to emulate.”
