A call has been made on past and present leaders of the country and other stakeholders to come together and pray for the unity and growth of the nation under the present President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
A traditional title holder and Chairman Council of Yoruba Obas and Chiefs in the Northern States and Abuja, Ambassador Mohammad Arigbabuwo noted that the current situation in the country call for everybody’s involvement so that our country would not disintegrate in the nearest future.
Speaking to newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday, Ambassador Mohammad Arigbabuwo explained that the situation and happenings in the country both politically and otherwise have become fearful and unless we come together to save the nation from imminent collapse, we may at the end be the looser.
He said there is the urgent need for our leaders to forget their differences and come together to salvage the nation and save the generation yet unborn.
According to him, leaders such as former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Shagari, Ibrahim Babangida, Chief Ernest Sonekan, Chief Anyaoku, Mallam Ahmed Joda and Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu should come together and save the country from collapse.
He said the nation’s polity has been overheating and need the quick intervention from the nation’s leaders and stakeholders from all over the country irrespective of tribe and religion.
Equally, Ambassador Mohammad Arigbabuwo appealed to all traditional rulers and religious leaders to call for prayers for the nation survival now that we are going in to full politics from next month to be smooth and non-violent.
