CBN, Bizi Mobile Train Participants On e-Naira Transactions In Kaduna

Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultants in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has held a one-day sensitization and onboarding e-Naira at Jasa Resort, Kaduna on Thursday June 16, 2022.

Addressing participants, CEO Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultants Ltd, Alhaji Aminu Bizi told them that the entire world is transiting from cash to e-transactions.

He said that the government is spending so much in printing paper money and is pushing for e-Naira to drive the economy and save funds that would be channelled into empowering Nigerians.

Alhaji Bizi said that with new innovations, web based jobs are beginning to be the most lucrative.

He then took participants through a  practical session, where they were taught how to open e-NAIRA accounts.

“One good thing about e-Naira is that you can do transactions in any part of the world with ease,” he said.

He explained that being an e-Naira agent, without capital, they can eke out a living.

Alhaji Bizi who is a CBN Consultant on e-Naira revealed that plans are on to host an e-Naira fair, were 19 Northern States are expected to feature in Kano.

“The fair will last for seven days and no one will be allowed to enter their to purchase using cash.

“All those exhibiting at the fair will not be paid in cash, all payments will be made in e-Naira.

“The fair will also be held in Lagos or Ibadan, then we now go to Bayelsa and hold it before coming to Abuja to close it,” he said.

Fielding questions from newsmen, he explained that embracing e-Naira reduces cost of producing paper notes, assuring that it has 99.9 per cent success rates on transactions, “with no failures, no yahoo can penetrate your e-Naira.”

On what e-Naira agents stand to benefit, he said that a lot of financial rewards come with engagements.

“For every transaction done via e-Naira, CBN is providing incentives to the agents. Today China and CBN has signed MoU, you can use e-Naira in making purchase from Alibaba Online and it would be delivered,” he pointed out.

A participant, Ummulkhairi Usman who is an entrepreneur,  said she was impressed by what was learnt at the sensitization clinic.

“Yesterday, I got a call that someone was coming to give us lecture on e-Naira, I taught it would be difficult to learn, but it is quite easy.

“On a normal day, when you board a Keke, they are reluctant to accept  transfer to accounts because the amount is small, but with e-wallet, even ten Naira can be transferred,” she said.

Another participant, Prince Abubakar Idris who is son to late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, said he thanks God for making him part of the historic process.

“We are here to kickstart e-Naira  in Kaduna. I am calling on others to wisely grab this opportunity.

 ” Whether we like it or not, e-Naira will substitute banking and POS services,” he said.

He lamented that in 2021 alone, the Federal Government  spent over N58bn in printing N2bn.
