Buhari Returns To Daura, Emirate Welcomes Him With Durbar

General Muhammadu Buhari has returned to his country home Daura, after serving eight years as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and handing over power to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja.

General Buhari arrived Daura in the afternoon, amidst hundred of relatives and well wishers including the Emir of Daura Alhaji Farouk Umar Farouk with District heads in the area. 

A special Durbar to honor the former President was organized by Emir Farouk Umar Farouk on May 30, 2023 in Daura.

Similarly, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda and Honourable Farouk Lawal Jobe have been sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Katsina State respectively.

The ceremony which took place at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina Metropolis  witnessed hundred of People including former Governors of the state.

Speaking shortly after swearing-in by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar,

Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda promised to introduce a Treasury Single Account to block leakages and fight corruption. 

Governor Umaru Radda said

the introduction of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) would consolidate the state finance and strengthen accountability in all financial systems.

This he said would ensure public finances are handled efficiently for the benefit of the people of the state.

On Security, Malam Radda emphasized that, would be paramount to his administration, and would deploy all resources to fight banditry and criminalities.

“I’ll also engage communities in this fight against insecurity and

those affected by the insecurity, I assure you that my administration will do its best to rebuild your lives. And we’ll also work on their mental well-being and support them,”

Malam Dikko Umaru Radda said.

He called on terrorists to repent and surrender their weapons or face the full wrath of the law. adding that, “I’m asking you to abandon your cause and be reintegrated into the society or face the full wrath of the law.”

He promised that, the state would witness positive changes in land administration and revenue generation

Governor Dikko Radda assured

to revive education sector for students and pupils in the state 

compete with others in Nigeria and beyond.

 He reiterated his commitment to review the health sector for vulnerable members of society by improving access to health care.

Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda pledged to establish Katsina State Development Management Board and ensure a new approach to improve public service to work effectively, support small and medium enterprises, revive the agricultural sector as well as establish an agency to promote employment generation.
