*Dep Gov says exercise not meant to witch hunt any worker

The Borno.Dtate Deputy Governor, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur on Tuesday, said that the ongoing state civil servants promotion exams organised by the Borno State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC) is not meant to witch hunt or victimise any civil servant.
He added that the exercise is purposely organized to ensure adherence and enhance compliance to civil service rules on promotion of public servants towards bringing sanity into the system, while urging them not be panic.
The Chairman Sub-Committee on Promotion Examinations, Alhaji Wakil Abba said the first batch of the professional workers comprises of medical doctors, nurses, midwives, engineers, lawyers and allied staff out of a total of 3,226 civil servants selected and qualified to write the promotion examinations, started on Tuesday, while other categories described as non professional workers sat on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
The deputy governor was received at the venue by Chairman State Civil Service Commission, Dr Bulama Mali Gubio who is also the former Head of Service, Borno State, Bar. Yakubu Bukar, Chairman Examinations Committee and his members as well as the examiners among others.
