Bandits Kill 9 In Fresh Southern Kaduna Attack

About nine persons have been killed by suspected bandits in Ruji and Atakjeh villages of Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. 

Reports have it that a young man was alleged to have been butchered from Ruji village, while eight persons were also killed in Atakjeh village late  Wednesday night and three others injured and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

New Nigerian recalls that a village close to Zangon Urban, Unguwan Wakili was attacked and about 17 persons were killed by suspected Fulani militias in Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon Kataf local government area of the state.

The National President, Atyap Community Development Association (ACDA), Dr Samuel Achi told New Nigerian that presently  the situation in Atakjeh village is very tense with the locals lamenting the killing of their beloved ones.

Dr Samuel said, “Surprisingly, there are security personnel very close to the village where the eight people were killed and could not rescue the village from the attackers. The attackers went to the village and carried out their mission and went away without any intervention from the security.”

He explained that the attackers invaded the village on Wednesday night and carried out their mission of killing their victims and injured others.

“As l am talking to you, one is not sure of those killed and injured but at the moment, we have eight persons killed and three others injured in Atakjeh village. Those who received various degrees of injuries have been taken to the hospital for treatment,” he lamented.
