Attack On My Hotel Won’t Stop Me From Speaking Truth To Power – Bullion CEO, Ajadi

A chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has vowed to continue championing the welfare of Nigerian youth.

Ambassador Ajadi while speaking with journalists declared that the Tuesday attack on his Bullion Hotel located in Simawa area of Ogun State, demands prompt investigation into the persistent attacks on his hotel and his person as well as an investigation into the alleged role of the Shimawa Police Division in the Tuesday attack.

He alleged that over 20 political thugs, allegedly led by three men in uniforms stormed his hotel on Tuesday morning, attacking guests as well as staff and that the incident allegedly took place around 8a.m, leaving both staff and guests at the hotel traumatized.

” There was a similar attack on September 5, 2023, when a group of thugs, some disguised as soldiers, stormed the Bullion Hotel.

They can never stop my action as the voice of the Nigerian youths and I will continue to work for the progress and welfare of the poor and the vulnerable youths in Nigeria”, he said.

Ambassador Ajadi added, ” The Police officers that allegedly slapped the security guards while watching television should be penalized for such action.These boys are always gathering within the secondary school in Shimawa initiating themselves into nefarious activities and terrorising innocent people in the town”.

The NNPP governorship candidate in Ogun state in 2023 general elections stressed that these incidents would not deter his efforts in championing the welfare of Nigerian youths as well as saying the truth to the power that be.

Ambassador Ajadi said the CCTV footage shows clearly how the men allegedly in Police uniforms were molesting, harassing and taking away valuables belonging to the hotel and the hotel security, adding.

the assailants during the attack identified themselves as boys from Shimawa.

“One of the thugs issued a chilling warning, saying, “We are still coming back to fight you, and we must kill at least three persons.

Shimawa belongs to the APC (All Progressives Congress), and anyone opposing this political party, including the hotel owner, Ajadi, should leave the area”.

According to Ambassador Ajadi, the items looted during the attack to include handsets, substantial sum of money, and numerous Power Banks used for charging mobile devices”, and that

“Shockingly, five hotel security personnel were arrested during the commotion” 

Speaking at the Press conference, the Legal Adviser to Bullion Company’s Legal Adviser, Barrister Isaac Izunya demanded investigation into the alleged attack condemned the alleged support given to the political thugs by some men in Police Uniforms.

Barrister Izunya said, “In order to save the integrity of the Police, I am calling on the  Commissioner of Police in Ogun state, and the Police Service Commission to investigate the alleged activities of some men in Police uniforms in the attack”.
