Atiku Vows To Return Permanent Peace To Plateau

The presidential candidate of the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has vowed to restore permanent and lasting peace and better relationship among the various ethnic groups in Plateau State, if elected  in 2023.

Atiku Abubakar stated this while flagging off campaign in Jos,  the Plateau State capital

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar promised to make Plateau State, by extension Nigeria, an economic hub of Africa, if elected the president of Nigeria in in 2023 general elections.

The former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar made the promise  during   flag-Off of Atiku/Okowa, Mutfwang/Piyo Campaign Rally held at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium Jos, Plateau State. 

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar decried the abysmal failure of APC who promised the people of Nigeria “Change” in all aspects of life as their campaign promises, but  seven years down the line, Nigeria is ranking among one of the poorest countries in the world, occasioned by bad governance of Muhammadu Buhari-led government.

He reminisced back when he was in Jos some years back, the state used to be one of the places in Nigeria for tourism, largely due to its favourable weather, but today it is a place where people do not want to inhabit because of insecurity.

“Jos is also known as one of the largest mineral deposit compared to other states in Nigeria which is not adequately tapped into because of lack of economic focus of APC government,” he said.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar assured the citizens of Plateau State of revamping all the moribund industries in the state, if they cast their votes for him and make him president in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

He further promised to fight insecurity which has made people desert the state,  assuring the people of the state of sleeping with their two  eyes closed, contrary to what is happening under the APC government.

He however, appealed to the citizens of Plateau State not to choose the alternative of going back to Egypt by voting APC into power in the next election.

In their separate speeches, the Chairman of PDP in Plateau State, Chris Hassan, promised the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar that the state will give him not less than two million votes because the citizens of the state are known to stand by their words, and are not betrayers.

The PDP State chairman further revealed that the presidential campaign rally is collapsed into one which means the state Governorship Campaign is also combined,  called Atiku/Okowa, Mutfwang/Piyo Campaign Rally.

In his goodwill message, an elder statesman, Ambassador Yahaya Kwande thanked God for keeping him alive to see the day that Atiku Abubakar his bossom friend and  a good man per excellence, is coming out to seek for the mandate of the people of Plateau and by extension, Nigeria.

He thanked the people of Plateau State for coming out in mass to receive the man that has the heart to transform Nigeria without tribal and religious sentiment.

He therefore,  appealed to the people to right the wrongs they had unknowingly made by voting the Muhammadu Buhari APC-led government into power.

He berated the APC government for plunging the country Into unimaginable security, economic and numerous crisis because of their clueless  policies.

I.D Gyang, member representing Plateau North Senatorial Zone in  the National Assembly, reminded the presidential candidate that the state for the past 15 years, had passed through what can be best described as harrowing experience following the incessant killing by some groups tagged unknown gunmen, attackers or whatever name.

He however, charged him to use the instrumentality of his power as president to end the killing of  innocent citizens of Plateau State and fish out those behind the callous killings, with a view of bringing them to book if voted into power as president come 2023.

The Plateau State Governorship Candidate under the platform of PDP, Caleb Mutfwang, decried the suffering of the citizens of Plateau occasioned by the clueless government of APC in the state and Nigeria as a whole, stressing that  it is time to change the change.

Mutfwang appealed to the people of plateau state to come out en-mass during voting and vote for Atiku Abubakar for president and other PDP candidates irrespective of their positions from head to bottom.

He stressed, “that is the only way to end the artificial suffering brought to Nigeria and Nigerians by APC Change”.

The Chairman of Atiku/Okowa Presidential Council, Udom Emmanuel, thanked the people of Plateau State for their large turn out to receive the presidential candidate of the party.

He further added that contrary to the change the APC government is preaching, categorized change is in two categories, which are, those who manage change and those that create change.

Promised that the government of Atiku Abubakar will change the economy of Plateau State in particular, and Nigeria in general for the benefit of Nigerians.

The Presidential Running Mate, Ifeanyi Okowa berated the APC, administration for taking Nigeria down the hill for over seven years they held sway in power with nothing to show for it, only economic  hardship and security disaster.

He assured that Atiku Abubakar who  is master in all the areas the APC government failed, will teach them how do it without stress if given the opportunity to serve.

Iyorchia Ayu, the National Chairman of  PDP lauded the amicable resolution of the crisis hitherto bedeviling the party in the state, which he said,  informed the number of decampees from the APC to PDP in the state.

He appealed to the citizens of the state to come out and vote overwhelmingly  for  PDP in  2023.

Director General of Atiku/Okowa Presidential campaign  who doubles as the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tantuwa charged Plateau and Nigeria in general to make a decision and end the hardship brought on the people by the APC government.

Dino Melaye was on ground to do what he knows how to do best,  employed series of satire to paint the bad administration of APC with songs.
