The President of the Students’ Union Government of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, Comrade Anuoluwa Adeboye on Monday lamented that the  ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) strike is frustrating Nigerian students.
Comrade Adeboye dropped this hint while speaking during a protest by the institution’s students over the prolonged strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The SUG President pointed out that there is no doubt in the fact that the entire Nigerian students are frustrated by the on going ASUU strike with no sign of end in sight
According to Comrade Adeboye, the protest was staged to create awareness among stakeholders and public members on the plight and  sadness of Nigeria Universities students concerning  the ASUU strike.
During the  protest, the students marched across major roads in Ogbomosho, condemning the ongoing prolonged ASUU strike which has forced the students to be home for some months.
The protesting students also emphasized the need for the government on its part to without wasting time,  meet the demands of the striking ASUU members to enable them to complete their academic programmes.
The protest by the students led to gridlock   on the ever busy Ogbomosho – Ilorin road, forcing travelers  and the Northern bound trailers and other heavy duty vehicles to spend about an hour within Ogbomosho, before heading towards their various destinations.
