Army ready to subdue terrorism, militancy other security challenges – Acting GOC

Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Chukwunedum Martins Abraham on Wednesday said the Nigeria Army is ready to subdue  terrorism, militancy and other security challenges facing the country.
The Acting GOC who stated this in Ibadan while speaking with newsmen on the challenges ahead of the Nigeria Army, tasked Officers and Soldiers in the division to brace up for the challenges.
He declared that Nigerian Army is committed into ensuring that it get its  soldiers ready as well as make them carry out their responsibility with training and retraining.
Emphasizing that South-West states has been peaceful than other parts of the country, the GOC added, “but we cannot rest on our oars,we must fight against terrorism, militancy and other security issues being faced by the country”.
Speaking further, Brigadier General Abraham assured that the army will also tackle the challenges of pipeline vandalism, illegal bunkering and kidnapping among others.
