APC Senatorial Candidates In Katsina Emerge

The All Progressives Congress party (APC) primary elections in three Senatorial zones of Katsina State have been conducted peacefully.

In Katsina senatorial zone, a younger brother to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua,  Lieutenant Colonel Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua (rtd) won the Senatorial tick with 310 votes.

Declaring the result, the Chairman APC Primary Election in the zone, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari who declared the winner, also said Senator Umar Ibrahim Kurfi came second with 197 votes.

Barrister Garba Faskari said Senator Kabir Abdullahi Barkiya had 70 votes, while Hajiya Binta Abba got one vote.                        

In Daura, the Chairman of the election committee, Alhaji Salisu Mamman Continental announced Nasiru Sani Zango as winner with 486 votes, while Engineer Mustapha Kanti Bello scored 144 votes.

In Funtua, Muntari Dandutse emerged as the winner of the election.

The election which took place at Labaran Kaura Park was contested by Alhaji Muntari Dandutse 405 votes while Bello Mandiyya got 123 votes.

The Electoral Officer, Barrister Luka Musa Haruna who declared Muntari Dandutse as winner thanked the delegates for the orderly manner they conducted themselves during the election.
