A group, All Progressives Congress (APC) Progressive Youth and Women Mandate has suggested that moving the party from the present bad shape, a stabilizer like immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barrister Boss Mustapha is needed.
Speaking at a press briefing in Kadunà on Friday July 28 2023, convener of the group, Jibril Adamu Seze, said that in view of that, they are endorsing Barrister Boss Mustapha for the national chairmanship of the party.
“There is no doubt that our noble party the APC is in bad shape (resignation of the NATIONAL Chairman, National Secretary and the North West Vice Chairman) and is in dear need of someone who perfectly understand what and how it takes to fix the party back to shape for a sustainable political development guided with practical wisdom and principles that will help Mr. President in achieving his sole desire of a Renewed Hope for a better Nigeria,” the group said.
Reading from the text of the briefing which was jointly signed by Co-Convener, Comrade Nuhu Sani, the APC Progressive Youth & Women Mandate stressed that in promoting the excellent ideas, innovations, the political wheel and advancement propel by the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the principle of party politics and democracy, Boss Mustapha is key.
“Such noble task requires the services, knowledge, capacity and experience of a season public administrator and distinguish management guru per excellent.
“We are appealing to Mr. President In consideration of our request to look inward by nominating the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Barr. Boss Mustapha as the next National Chairman of our party considering his antecedent and track records of excellent performance, a committed and dedicated party loyalist with the needed necessary skill to manage the affairs of our great party the APC.
“We are confident and want to assure Mr. President that supporting Barr. Boss Mustapha, CFR will not only add value or increase the love and support from the North East (Adamawa), rather it will harness all pockets of support for the development of our party in the nearest future,” they assured.
Speaking further, the group explained that, “as a strong party man, we are confident in his personal ability and capacity to deliver working closely with his colleagues at the National Working Committee of our great party and to also help in promoting/defending the ideals of our founding fathers whose effort will always be acknowledge and celebrated.
“Mr. President sir, we are aware of your determination and commitment to build a prosperous Nigeria free from religious intolerance, political sentiment and tribal domination, we are firm and resolute in endorsing Barr. Boss Mustapha as someone who could help you put the party back to shape while you concentrate in making Nigeria great.
“We finally want to use this medium to call on all party faithful and loyalist especially State Governors to support Barr. Boss Mustapha, CFR as a unifying pillar that will bring everyone onboard to take our party APC to the next level of development.”
