APC Guber  Aspirant Promises Kogi  Industrialisation.

An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Kogi State, Dr Sanusi Ohiare on Wednesday,  promised to prioritize industrialization of the state alongside establishment of inland ports if given the mandate to govern the state.

Dr. Ohiare disclosed this while speaking at a media parley organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council, for governorship aspirants in the forthcoming party primaries and the election proper midweek.

He assured that the planned Inland Port would facilitate transportation of goods and services, prompt social and economic activities as well as generate employment, especially for the Youths.

Ohiare also promised to put in place, a moral boosting initiative titled, “Kogi Works”, to galvanise efforts aimed at industrialization of the state and as well, boost the production capacity of the people to optimal level.

The aspirant also pledged to ensure dredging of the Rivers Niger and Benue to boost commercial and social activities at the proposed Inland Port in Lokoja.

The APC guber aspirant also pledged to spread his development tentacles to the Transportation Sector as he plans to ensure that the Nigerian Railway Corporation rail line at Itakpe is extended to Abuja to facilitate the movement of people and goods.

On Ajaokuta Steel project, he pledged to collaborate with the Federal Government to make it a reality with the attendant social and economic benefits to the state.

Ohiare said he would establish more schools with emphasis on science and technology with graduate training that would combine intellectual and practical abilities for self-reliance.

The governorship aspirant also pledged to revive the culture of farming among Civil Servants especially, weekend farming aside encouraging small-holder farmers and agro-allied professionals to boost food production to stem “food inflation” in the state. Ends.
