Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that all the APC state governors, in the country unanimously urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare to contest the presidential election for 2019.
Okorocha, disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists shortly on arrival from a journey, at the Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport over the weakened.
He said that the governors believed that president Buhari has justified the mandate Nigerians bestowed on him in his first term and therefore that the mandate should be renewed for second term.
According to him, also the APC governors endorsed the re-appointment of the former governor of Rivers state and minister of transport, Chief Rotimi Amaechi as Director-General, Buhari campaign organization.
He further said that the governors, noted that the minister Rotimi Amaechi did very well as Director-General of the campaign organization in 2015 and should be allowed to repeat the good work again.
Okorocha said, “we have been in Abujafor three days holding meeting of the progressive governors, with the APC leadership and we deliberated on some many national issues.
