Alhaji Ismaila Usman Tubo tied the nuptial knots according to Islamic injunctions, with Hajiya Fatima Tukur Yusufu Buratai the daughter of Nigeria’s former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Ambassador to Benin Republic, His Excellency, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) at the Tukur and Tukur Farm, Gora, Nasarawa State, along Abuja-Keffi Road on Saturday July 30, 2022.
The epoch wedding ceremony, attracted eminent personalities and guests from across the country, that included diplomats, military top brass, traditional rulers, politicians, businessmen and women.
Notable among those spotted, include the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), and Indonesia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Air Vice Marshal Usra Harahap (rtd).
The heavy presence of several Emirs, Obas, Chiefs, Captains of industries, serving and retired senior military officers made the occasion a Durbar of some sort, saw the Islamic ceremony held at the Snake Farm Central Mosque.
In his welcome address at the wedding reception also held at the Snake Farm, His Excellency, Ambassador Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) said that he was blessed to witness large turn out of dignitaries and other guests at the wedding of his daughter and his latest son in-law.
He admonished the latest couple to be tolerant, God fearing and love each other.
In a vote of thanks, Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun (rtd) appreciated all those that came from far and near to witness the wedding ceremony.
Also spotted at the ceremony, were service chiefs and top traditional rulers from across Nigeria.
