The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi on Tuesday,
met behind closed doors with the Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola over the face-off between him and the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
New Nigerian reliably gathered that the meeting was at the instance of the two paramount rulers towards resolving the crisis between the Minister and Asiwaju Tinubu.
It was learnt that the meeting was held behind closed door at the Alaafin’s private residence at Jericho area of Ibadan.
According to sources close to the meeting, peace parley was aimed at protecting the overall best interest of the Yoruba race ahead of the 2023 general elections particularly on who becomes the next President after President Muhammadu Buhari come May 29, 2023
