An unbelievable crowd in Katsina State received the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who was on Campaign rally in the state.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who on arrival, visited the mother of late General Shehu Musa Yar’adu and late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, also later visited the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, where he announced the donation of fifty million Naira to Katsina IDPs.
Addressing thousands of the party followers at Katsina Township (Karakanda) Stadium, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar assured that, when elected and he resumes office as President of the country, he would addressed Insecurity, open all borders closed down by APC Government for business activities of the country to thrive, in addition to education and economic prosperity.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar while at the Stadium, received 91,000 members of the APC who decamped to the PDP including former Secretary to the Government of Katsina State under Governor Aminu Bello Masari, Dr Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa.
The decampees comprise of 19,000 from Daura Zone, 23,000 from Funtua Zone and 49,000 from Katsina Zone respectively.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar disclosed that, all development in Katsina State were executed by PDP, .pointing out that, “APC has done nothing.”
National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu said they’re not in Katsina for campaign but to thank people for the mammoth crowd.
The PDP National Chairman presented a flag for the Katsina State Gubernatorial Candidate of the party, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke.
Chairman of the Atiku and Okowa Campaign Council and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel said PDP has already won elections in Katsina State, going by the number of people present at the rally.
He assured that, “a vote for Atiku is a vote for Nigeria, he has the capacity, experience and the will to address the insecurity and restore confidence on the government and windmill would be restored to address electricity problem in Katsina State.”
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State assured that, PDP in North West would vote for Atiku Abubakar, stressing that, the PDP has all it needs to win elections.
Also speaking, Atiku Abubakar’s vice presidential candidate, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa said that Nigeria needs Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a man that can be trusted to take over the leadership of this country.
Mr Okowa said that with Atiku Abubakar as a “President of this nation, there’ll be no more hunger whereas women and youth will be better off.”
He explained that Katsina has indicated that, APC has no people but billboards and posters.
Katsina State Gubernatorial Candidate of the PDP, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke said Katsina was the worst affected by insecurity in the country, assuring that, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would be the first to get more votes than any other candidate during the election.
Dr. Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa who spoke on behalf of the decampees, warned some irresponsible elements that he alleged are buying voter cards from people and charged the public not to sell their rights for the sake of money.
