The Vice President and an All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential aspirant, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Friday disclosed that he is prepared to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. Professor Osinbajo stated this in Ibadan while speaking at a meeting with APC leaders and members in Oyo state at the Civic center in Ibadan According to the Vice President, he has learnt many things while serving as acting President and will hit the ground running the first day he assumed office as President of Nigeria. Emphasising that he will start work immediately he assumed office, the Vice President said what he learnt have prepared him to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. ” I have served as acting president. Everything I have learnt during these period has prepared me to be the president. And I believe the time has come to give everything I have learnt to the country”, he said. The Vice President added, “from the day one I will hit the ground running from the first day in office, because I know what it takes”. “I declared my intention with all humility having served the country for seven years. Every politician is a nation builder and our desire is to make our country a great nation”. APC Chieftain at the meeting included Senator Teslim Folarin, Hon Dokun Odebunmi, Chief Adeniyi Akintola,(SAN), Barrister Iyiola Oladokun and Senator Babafemi Ojudu and Dr. Azeez Adeduntan and the Oyo state APC state Chairman, Mr. Isaac Omodewu and other notable leaders of the party.
