People’s Democratic Party (PDP) guber aspirant, Senator Shehu Sani has pledged to establish and fund a volunteer forceĀ  to tackle banditry and other forms of insecurity if elected Governor of Kaduna State in 2023.
Senator Sani made it known at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State secretariat, while reeling out policy statement in an interface with newsmen, said he would appointĀ  experts with deep knowledge to handle security affairs of the state, blaming the spate of terrorist attacks on lack of will by theĀ  current Government to solve the problem he noted had devastated a hitherto peaceful Capital of the defunct Northern Region.
He assured he would be a leader for all by spreading developments across rural and urban areas, saying he would not be a Governor for enriching the elite at the detriment of the masses.
The Senator lambasted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration for increasing tuition fees of the state owned university, describing it as insensitivity capable of denying children of the poor from accessing tertiary education.
The civil rights activist declared he would easily defeatĀ  in a free and fair contest any candidate the APC would present in 2023 election because according to him, the electorate had a high degree of trust and confidence in his leadership style of Welfarist policy.
” I will discontinue with anti-masses policies of the present administration that have emasculated the people of the state, impoverishing low-income earners while the elite smile to the bank.Ā
” The only thing I will not undo is the local government election which the opposition won some LG seats in the state.
” There will be no raising of hands of anointed candidates to deceive the electorate to put their eggs in baskets that will not hatch but crumble, ” he said.
