2023: We Need Someone Who Can Unite Nigeria, Rescue It From Total Collapse – Saraki

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential aspirant and former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki on Tuesday said come 2023, Nigerians need someone who can unite Nigeria as well as rescue the country from total collapse 
Addressing PDP delegates from Oyo State  at the state party secretariat in Ibadan, the former Senate President declared that the country has moved from been a weak nation to a failing nation under the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari 
Senator Saraki pointed out that as far as he is concerned, ” I am assuring you that I am the one as I have the capacity to do it. This country needs someone with energy to move it forward”.
” We must elect someone who has the capacity. We need a man with the experience. We need someone who can unite Nigeria and I am that person. We need someone who can unite both the old and the young together. Let us vote for the person that can unite the country”, he said. 
Senator Saraki added, ” I have the capacity and that message is coming across that indeed, I have the capacity and people are saying that I have the capacity and  from the messages, that I’m prepared. We have our policy spelt, we are the first aspirants that told Nigerians this is my contract with them, so, it is not somebody that will waste another six months before he decides on what to do.
” From day one, we are going to hit the ground running, we are going to address insecurity, we are going to provide jobs for the youth and we are going to lead this country, unite this country and that energy, the responsibility is so great, I thank the people of Oyo State for the love they have shown today and I promise you we will do this together.”
Senator Saraki noted that though Nigeria was a weak nation before President Buhari came to power in 2015,  the country has moved from being a weak nation to a failing nation because the present administration has failed the citizens, saying, ” before Buhari and APC came to power, we were a weak nation, but now we are a failing nation.
” There is a difference between a weak nation, a failing nation and a failed nation. We have moved from a weak to a failing nation. But we need someone who can rescue us from being a failed nation”
Emphasizing that he is in a better position to change the fortunes of the country for better, Senator Saraki said come 2023, Nigeria deserves as President, a person who can unite the country and its people, adding that the time has come for Nigerians to elect someone who has the capacity.
” We are carrying on the work, we are not going to take anything for chances. I am a fighter, I will keep on fighting till the last day. And I am really encouraged that people really want somebody that can do the work. I see the wish of the delegates, the passion of the delegates in looking for the best candidate, looking for somebody who is well connected. There is energy, there is building up, people are sensing it that perhaps the time has come truly for us to fix this country by having somebody that has the capacity. 
Senator Saraki’s meeting with PDP delegates in Oyo State was attended by the state party’s Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, Secretary, Hon. Wasiu Adeleke, former Minister of State, Power, Elder Wole Oyelese, Dr. Saka Balogun, the South West Women Leader, Mrs. Bose Adedibu, and other PDP chieftains.
