February 12th, 2023, will remain special to the people of Uyanga as the political Leader of Uwet clan, Rev. Pastor Tony Effiong led Ntufam Ekpo Okon, Hon Austine Aidam JP and Mr Collins Njok to Uwet and Okopedi communities in Uyanga Ward of Akamkpa Local Government Area to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Addressing the traditional rulers and party faithful, the team leader, Pastor Tony Effiong commended and applauded the people for turning up en masse to welcome and embrace the people that will turn around the fortunes of the masses
According to him, the candidates he presented are the best bets that will represent the people selflessly and bring down dividends of democracy while admonishing the people to vote for Ntufam Sandy Onor, Ntufam Ekpo Okon, Hon Austine Aidam JP and Mr Collins Njok
The PDP candidates took turns to engage the people in a heart to heart conversations during the interactive meeting.
The Cross River State South Senatorial candidate, Ntufam Ekpo Okon (The Man In The Neighborhood) in his remarks, lauded the communities for supporting the PDP, while assuring them of quality representation and good governance.
The PDP workaholic and indefatigable House of Representatives candidate for Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, Hon Austine Aidam JP, disclosed that as a bonafide son of Uwet clan, the people shall experience tremendous and rapid developments in infrastructure and human capital.
He admonished the people to vote for PDP in all elections given that PDP is the only party that priotize welfare of the populace.
Also speaking at the event was the state House of Assembly candidate for Akamkpa 1, Mr Collins Njok, who eulogized the great people of Uwet for the historic welcome as he assured them of quality representation by building synergy with the national assembly members and the governor, which is only possible if the good people of Uwet vote massively for the PDP
