A former Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has pledged to stop every form of insecurity in Nigeria if elected president of Nigeria come 2023, stating that Nigeria under his watch will experience high level of security of lives and property in all  nooks and crannies of the country.
Senator Saraki  disclosed this in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, while meeting with the stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other party stalwarts who came to welcome them, saying that every part of this country will be adequately represented and given a sense of belonging to participate fully in the affairs of the country if given the mandate to pilot the affairs of Nigeria.
The former Senate President who was represented by Senator Suleiman Adokwe, noted that Saraki as a detribalized Nigerian when he was at the National Assembly,  played a significant role towards the growth and development of this country by passing bills that  added value to the economy and made life better for  average Nigerians.
He further stated  that  the APC-led government under Muhammadu Buhari has failed woefully since countless lives and property have been lost to insecurity in different parts of the country unchallenged because of the inability of the present administration to train and provide security agencies sophisticated weapons to combat crime.
Also speaking, one of the campaign coordinators, Honourable Dan Okafor explained that it is only PDP that can wrestle power from APC, urging Igbos not to be deceived by anybody since Saraki is committed to handing over power to an Igbo  man If given the opportunity to govern Nigeria come 2023, noting that it is only South East and North Central that have not produced president in Nigeria.
“The former Senate President, Bukola Salaki  distinguished himself when he was serving as Senate President of Nigeria.
“Obasanjo ruled Nigeria for eight years, while Jonathan served for six years. If we do the needful now by supporting Saraki, he will handover power to us.
“Other zones have more than five states and if we vote for him, more states shall be created in South East to meet up with others.
“Even though South South and South  West have taken their own turns, but they are not ready to zone the ticket to South East and in order to play safe, it is better to support a man who has been tasted and trusted to wrestle power back to PDP and after his tenure, he will handover to somebody from South East.
“Let us work together and never allow anybody to deceive us, Saraki is a detribalized Nigerian who has made great impact in this country as Senate President,” he stressed.
He also added that women will be carried along and participate effectively in his government as 40 per cent of the political appointments will be given to them.
Responding, the chairman of People’s Democratic Party in Ebonyi State, Hon.Tochukwu Okorie applauded the efforts of the campaign team in reaching out to Ebonyi State, saying that the former Senate President left a lot of legacies during his time which affected many lives positively.
Hon. Okorie who was represented by the  state vice chairman, Barr. Ifeanyi Nworie further appreciated the former Senate President for his efforts at stabilizing the party as well as his role to ensure prompt release of the state  PDP Publicity Secretary, Nwaoba Chika Nwaoba from detention.
He therefore, assured the team that the message will be delivered to the leaders of the party after which they will make their position known ahead of the 2023 general elections.
