The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Apapa-Iganmu area of Lagos has assured the party in the state of delivering the highest votes in the forthcoming general elections.
The assurance was given, alongside the party’s House of Representatives candidate Apapa Federal Constituency, Dr. Samuel Adesola and the Lagos State House of Assembly candidate in Constituency 2, Hon. Musibau Aina Lawal at a stakeholders meeting with polling unit agents and canvassers at Ireti Owoseni mega school.
Speaking at the parley, Dr. Adedayo boasted that APC will score above 90 per cent of the total votes in the constituency and top the list of the party’s highest votes in the state.
He therefore, charged the polling unit agents and canvassers to double their efforts in winning the hearts of more electorates for the party.
By delivering higher votes for the party, Adedayo, a former Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu LCDA and a medical doctor, pointed out that the local government would benefit more appointments at both the state and federal level.
“We can’t rule out the fact that we might have offended some of you personally or through our aides, I hereby tender my apologies. This election is about the people, you have to reconcile even with your enemies and woe them to vote all our candidates.
“If we are able to deliver a huge vote for our Party, we would get more appointments at the state and federal level. I will lead you to the Governor with our results that we want commissioner’s, Special Advisers Special Assistant appointments”, he stressed.
In his contribution, Hon. Lawal hinted that the task of the polling unit canvassers is to mobilise 20 voters each, asserting that the party is sure of victory If the strategy adopted is implemented to the letter.
Speaking earlier, a leader of the party, Prince Akapo Ojora stressed that the constituency has to justify its assertion of being the hub of voters in Apapa Federal Constituency by turning out a huge result.
He emphasised that it is imperative for the party members to shame doubting Thomases with massive votes since the House of Representatives candidate of the party is from their constituency.
