2023: APGA Guber Candidate Flags Off Grassroots Voter Mobilization In Ebonyi

Ahead of 2023 general elections, the governorship candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Benard Odoh has officially inaugurated and flagged off grassroots voter mobilization known as “Odohmeter 2023km” in Ebonyi State.

Political support groups and party stalwarts from different parts of the state attended the official inauguration and flagged off which took place at Pinnacle’s hotel, Abakaliki.

Speaking at the event, the governorship flagbearer of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Benard Ifeanyi Odoh appreciated the support groups for the level of mobilization and commitment to ensure victory of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Prof. Odoh said that their credible performance in the party is one of the major things that are giving the party a new face in Ebonyi State.

He also explained that every society must make sacrifices to get the system working, saying that he knows all the challenges facing markets,civil servants, schools, hospitals, etc including traditional rulers and town union Associations and shall be given adequate attention if elected as governor come 2023.

“We are here because of our performance.Every society must make sacrifices to get its system working.The challenges we are facing in markets,civil service sector, schools, hospitals,including traditional rulers, town unions and all the association in the state;We know what the are going through and we are ready to make the system work.

“The oppression in this state is very very irritating. People are being bullied day and night as if the are slaves. We are going to bring the needed change and our people’s outlook must definitely be the best.Today’s event, is a landmark event, and we shall do our best to ensure that our people take their destinies in their hands.We are not waiting for anybody to tell us what to do, we have made our decisions which is going to manifest in our actions which shall change circumstances.

“We shall engage everybody in governance.We are going to activate local economies in our communities; we shall be part of production process to produce good and services that will give us income.

In the area of Agriculture, the APGA guber candidate expressed dissatisfaction over the number of fertile lands lying fallow in different parts of the state, and therefore pledged to revive the system through mechanized Agriculture which will add value to the economy of the state and create more employment opportunities for the unemployed youths.

Our lands are lying fallow across the state and we want to bring Mechanized Agriculture inEbonyi state.We are going to recruit our people to be involved in our production processes. Monthly, South East consumes over 3,000 cows and we don’t have ranches in this region; yet we have government that get allocation and squander it. When I become governor, I will not be investing in things that will not add value to our lives.

On his part, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Dr Nkata Nwani Chukwu expressed optimism that the victory of the party in the forthcoming general election is inevitable since the party has enjoyed overwhelming support across the state.He stated that Prof.Odoh is an experienced and Intelligent scholar who has achieved an unbeatable records in every aspect of human endeavor and has all it takes to pilot the affairs of the state.

Earlier in their goodwill messages, some of the leaders of various support groups like Mr. Chikezie Nwafor from Abakaliki; Innocent Okoroafor from Onicha; Alexander Ifesinachi from Ebonyi LGA; Esther Ifunanya from Afikpo North, amongst others, said that the guber candidate, Prof.Odoh has kept a clean record with experience having served as the former SSG and was not found wanted in any way.

They further noted that Prof.Odoh is the most qualified candidate to serve in that capacity because he knows the problem of Ebonyi people and the way out it.
