The Kaduna State People’s Redemption Part (PRP) Candidate for the Central Senatorial Zone, Hon Muhammad Ali Kawo has re-assured of commitments towards establishing a peaceful initiative and development if elected during the forthcoming general elections come 2023.
In a statement signed by the PRP Central Senatorial Zone Candidate and issued to newsmen in Kaduna, Dr. Muhammad Ali explained that the Central Senatorial district has being faced with series of challenges of establishing peace and development.
He said, “If elected, we shall work towards establishing peace initiatives that will work, using vast amount of resources to be utilised to craft peace agreements, which will ensure understanding, respect for our diversity, cultivating and promoting the spirit of live and lets live regardless of class or creed.
“We shall also examine whether there are other peace building strategies that can be adopted to complement existing efforts to promote peace in the Senatorial District.
“To enable culture to begin to play a significant role in the reconstruction of Kaduna Central Senatorial District, we shall establish education and training programmes based on progressive Nigerian cultural values for officials, civil society actors and citizens – keeping in mind that not all traditions are empowering, particularly on issues with regard to gender equality,” the PRP candidate said.
Hon Ali added that progressive cultural principles which promote human dignity and the well-being of the individual and society can provide valuable insights into how Kaduna Central Senatorial District can be peacefully reconstructed by using its own indigenous value-systems, which emphasizes promoting social solidarity.
According to the former Kaduna State House of Assembly lawmaker from Kawo Constituency and the PRP Senatorial Candidate in the forthcoming election, promoting social solidarity in practice means confronting corruption and trying to ensure democratic governance, power sharing and the equitable distribution of resources amongst all segments of society.
He said, “to achieve this, we urge you to come out in droves and vote for proven performance and credibility. A vote for proven performance equals to a vote for PRP and Dr. Muhammad Ali for Kaduna Central Senatorial District.
“As we are days away from the first round of the National Elections, I want to use this opportunity to appeal to fellow Nigerians to shine their eyes and elect Leaders who are skilful and trustworthy. Saying they must be strong and faithful.
“The absence of anyone of these pillars in a leader can seriously undermine the people he is representing as a Member, Reps, Senator, Governor or President. As such, shine your eyes and vote for character and proven performance not party or Naira.
“In Allah we put our trust and we beseech you oh Allah to give us the best of all the aspirants who are determined to restore peace, security and stability to this country without let or hindrance.” Dr. Muhammad Ali said.
