2023: 4,005 Offenders Apprehended, 630 Vehicles Impounded In Oyo State – FRSC Sector Commander

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oyo State Command has  apprehended  4,005 offenders in the state between January and November this year.

Disclosing this in Ibadan on Wednesday during a chat with journalists, the state FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Joshua Adekanye said the command also impounded 630 vehicles during same period.

Mr Adekanye stressed that the 630 vehicles were impounded by the FRSC over traffic rules as most of them and their drivers were  either  not having driver’s licences as well as other valid vehicle papers.

Concerning the  offenders, the FRSC sector Commander said they were apprehended for various road traffic offences in and across major roads in the state.

The Oyo State FRSC Commander stressed that the command is determined to  ensure free flow of traffic in and across the state.

While urging  motorists in the state to abide by the traffic rules, Mr Adekanye warned commercial vehicle drivers against excessive speeding and dangerous overtaking before, during and after the festive period.
