Worried by frequent attacks, the 4th Ogomo Pengana Chiefdom of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, His Royal Highness, Isau Mamman Shayang has appealed to security personnel to increase more checkpoints in his domain to curb the menace of house-to-house armed robbery syndicates ravaging their communities.
HRH Shayang stated this at the palace of Ogomo Pengana Chiefdom in Jingre as he marked one year in office.
According to him, “on assumption of office sometime on the 13th January, 2017, he remembers the overwhelming support received from all the ethnic tribes under Pengana chiefdom.“
He noted that the mantle of leadership given to him was not an easy task. “God chose me to lead my people with love understanding which was successful demonstrated,” he said.
Shayang disclosed that as a seasoned administrator, he has been using his wealth of experience to the benefit his people, going by the peace they are currently enjoying except around Tariya, Kwan where some group of armed robbery syndicates engage in open confrontation with the natives.
“We have achieved peaceful coexistence which the present government of Governor Simon Bako Lalong is preaching, we are trying to see that everybody lives in peace,” he said.
