Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, on Wednesday, was on an early morning inspection tour to assess the level and progress of infrastructural works in Maiduguri the state capital.
Zulum was at the first site as early as 6:00am, a time most people were still in the comfort of their homes.
The projects visited by the governor were the ongoing construction of new mega school at Gamboru Ward, another new mega school at Karamti Community and the ongoing construction of new housing estate in Police Ground along Maiduguri – Kano highway.
Zulum’s vision for the state is so enormous , that most times find it difficult to sleep in the night and many a times, he even goes to extent of going out late in the night to see things for himself and where he does not, he goes to those places as early as 6:00am in the morning a he sleeps and wakes up with Borno on his mind, that is what residents see in him and that is what he does every time and every day.
This is coming immediately after his visit to Baga to distribute food and other items to the resettled IDPs of the town on Tuesday, along with top government and SEMA officials among others, in fulfillment of his pledge to provide schools in many communities towards addressing school age children roaming the streets without going to acquire education, which is one of the root causes of the lingering insurgency in the state.
He said Borno State Government under the able and dynamic leadership of Governor Zulum is doing everything humanly possible to change the face of the state and with the support and prayers of the masses, his dream for the state is heading towards reality.
