Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, was in Bauchi on Sunday, to condole with Governor Bala Mohammed who lost his elder brother, Bappa Mohammed.
The deceased, who was a traditional title holder and a retired deputy director at the Central Bank of Nigeria, died last week after a protracted illness and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Zulum was received by Governor Mohammed at the Government House in Bauchi.
The Borno Governor said the deceased died while he (Zulum) was out of the country, which was why he didn’t pay condolence visit before Sunday.
Governor Zulum noted that given his personal relationship with Governor Mohammed, the late Bappa was by implication, his own  blood as well, hence he found it necessary to travel to Bauchi to pay condolence.
He prayed to Allah to admit the late Bappa into Aljanna Firdaus.
Governor Mohammed thanked Zulum for the visit and said he was very well touched by the show of brotherhood.
He described Zulum as someone with a special quality of leadership.
Governor Zulum was in Bauchi in company of the Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly, Abdulkareem Lawan, a member of Borno State House of Assembly representing Kukawa, Alhaji Haruna Kukawa, APC’s candidate for Marte, Monguno, Nganzai Federal Constituency of the House of Reps, Engr Bukar Talba, former speaker, now chairman of Borno State Mega farms programme, Musa Inuwa Kubo, Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Sheikh Modu Mustapha, Special Adviser on Information, Tukur Mshelia and friend to the Governor, Alhaji Mamman Tubo.
