Zamfara CP Presents N23m Cheques To Families Of Deceased Officers

The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State  Command,  Muhammad Bunu has presented cheques worth 23 million Naira to the family of deceased officers serving under the command.

A  statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP. Yazid Abubakar made available to our correspondent in Gusau on Monday,  hinted that CP. presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector General of police IGP Usman Alkali Baba.

“The cheques were presented to the twenty one (21) next of kins of the officers who lost their lives in active service”.

The statement hinted that the cheques issued were 

part of the Group Life Assurance/IGP Family Welfare Insurance Scheme of the Force. 

The CP appreciated the IGP for his kind gesture and also urged the families of the deceased officers to judiciously use the money to take care of their families. 

Meanwhile, Mr. Abdulrahman Ahmed, one of the beneficiaries in his remarks on behalf of other beneficiaries, thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Command for the support.

He also assured that the money given to them will be spent wisely.
