Mrs Esther Abba, a House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, has enjoined Christians to see Christmas as a season to show practical love to one another as God loves man and sent His only begotten son for his salvation.
She enjoined all irrespective of any different to embrace love to one another as the panacea to a harmonious relationship in the society.
In a Christmas and New year message to the people of Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, the House of Representatives aspirant noted, “As the world over celebrates another Christmas, I join millions of people to wish the good people of Zangon Kataf /Jaba Federal Constituency a happy celebration. The period is usually a happy moment where Christians jubilate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, who was given for the salvation of mankind. I pray for God’s protection and guidance as we join our family, friends and well wishers.
“We should on our own part practicalise the love God showed to us through His only begotten son, Jesus, by showing same love to one another for a peaceful living.”
She lamented that the crisis especially in Zangon Kataf has claimed lives and properties of beloved ones, stressing that the crisis should be a turning point during the Christmas season in the lives of the people knowing fully well that insecurity in any form does not pay.
She called on all to employ all available means towards ensuring that there is dialogue with one another towards achieving peaceful coexistence that is second to none, assuring that with peace in Zangon Kataf and other parts of Southern Kaduna, the sky would be the beginning of the people’s success as they move in search of their means of livelihood.
According to the aspirant, “As we all celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ that shows God’s loved to humanity, the true love of God shall never depart from our homes as we imbibe true love to one another. We should learn to accommodate one another in the spirit of love shown to man by the Almighty so that the purpose of God seeing man living in peace with his fellow brother will be accomplished in our lives time.”
She added, “While wishing all of us a happy and prosperous New Year ahead, I pray that the good Lord will grant our heart desires and meet all our expectations in the coming year. I call on our youths to be vigilant and security conscious as well as shun politics of thuggery as we enter another election year.”
