Yuletide: NEMA Flags Off Operation Eagle Eye In Kaduna

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North West Zone has flagged-off the 2021 Operation “Eagle Eye” exercise on Thursday December 23, 2021.

The Exercise is an annual event organized by the Agency to provide support to FRSC with the aim of preventing road accident during the festive season by sensitizing and creating awareness to road users on the need to avoid speeding and reckless driving and to carry out surveillance on major highways to reduce incidences of road crashes.

The Zonal Coordinator of NEMA North West Abbani Imam Garki represented by Halilu A Kangiwa told newsmen in Kaduna that the exercise is to make the Yuletide accident free for Nigerians.

Critical stakeholders such as the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority, Federal Fire Service, Police, Red Cross and the media were present at the flag-off.

On his part, the FRSC Sector Commander, H.T Mohammed appreciated the Agency for always supporting the Corps and advised motorists to abide by the rules and regulations, drive with caution and avoid overloading their vehicles.
