The acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Saturday, described Yorubas as  peaceful and loving citizens living in Kaduna State.

Dr. Hadiza Balarabe stated this at the launching of 2022/2023 calendar and award presentation of the Yoruba Community Council, Kaduna State Chapter held at the Gymnasium Hall of Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.

Speaking at the event, she said, Governor Nasir el-Rufai recognised all the Yoruba living as citizens of the state, as the state does not see them as settlers but as co-citizens, where they are living and doing their businesses.
According to her, she’s glad to identify with Yoruba missions in Kaduna on this occasion, the  special award and the launching of 2023 Almanac.

The acting governor explained that, in every part of the state, there are  peace  loving Yorubas living and contributing to the economy either as traders or public servants, male or female,  young and old.

She urged them not to relent in their contributions, but also to support the government by living  peacefully and harmoniously among their neighbours as they are known for everywhere.

“Kaduna State does not discriminate in selecting whom to work with, the state recognises all Yorubas and everyone living in the state as citizens,” she added.
She said the administration of Governor Nasir el-Rufai has many Yoruba sons and daughters in positions of power because Kaduna State Government does not discriminate in selecting competent people to work  for the state.
