Head Coach of Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro has arrived Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital ahead of Thurday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, just as the team’s camp opened today.
Peseiro who was received by members of Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee at the Victor Attah International Airport, was accompanied by his foreign assistants, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo,
Nigeria’s Super Eagles would face Lesotho in a FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier on Thursday November 16, 2023 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo by 5pm.
The Portuguese tactician had called up 23 players for this month’s World Cup qualifying fixtures against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
According to the team’s travelling schedule, eight players are expected to arrive camp on Monday, while fifteen others would join on Tuesday for the first full training session ahead of the game.
Meanwhile, sporting fans Akwa Ibom are high spirits to cheer up the country’s number one football team to a win against the the visiting Likuena (Crocodile) of Lesotho.
