Movement For The Democratic Support And Good Governance (MSDG) has described the recent suspension of the APC national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as created by his enemies just to paint him black.
Speaking to our correspondent in Kano, the group’s national president, Alhaji Dauda Mohammed Ali, said that MSDG would not fold its arms and see the destruction of leaders with developmental zeal to be embarrassed just for political benefits.
“We reiterate our determination to ensure that Nigeria’s democracy is always benefiting the citizens of all categories and sections, therefore it is time for perpetuators to concentrate on developmental projects instead of blackmailing opponents which is not real politics”. He stressed.
Alhaji Dauda Mohammed Ali emphasized that whoever is taking advantage of his position to tarnish one’s image and good record should know that he would also be intimidated and embarrassed by others no matter how his position is.
He therefore, warned those who use their positions in painting others black.
Commenting about the Ganduje’s contribution to better democracy since Nigeria returned to civil rule, MSDG stated that, ” Ganduje’s contribution is fully recognised by those who wish this nation well, and we have seen how he transformed Kano State under his two-term tenure as the governor of the state”.
MSDG advised politicians to stop intimidating opponents, rather concentrate on initiating developmental projects that would make livelihood more fruitful and sweeter than expectations and called on the APC stakeholders to ensure that there is no opposition that can facilitate intimidation among prominent leaders.
