The newly additional emirates created by the Ganduje administration should be allowed to exist because they were created to bring more progress and development to Kano State’s traditional institutions.
This was expressed by residents in series of chats with our correspondent, where they opined that from the creation of additional four emirates, Kano State has witnessed rapid development in every sector and their existence would makes the state greater.
Malam Abubakar Adam from Karaye Emirate, stated that, “the past administration has created additional emirates not to put pains in the hearts of our people, but to bring more progress to our state in the traditional institutions, and I am certain that everybody remains a witness that there is good development in Kano State,” he concluded.
Similarly, Alhaji Usman Suleiman from Kano Emirate said that, “Traditional institutions are very vital in the promotion of peace and unity in our society, and from what we have seen since the creation of additional four emirates, the development fomular is now impressive at Bichi, Gaya, Karaye, and Rano Emirates respectively.
In conclusion, those who spoke to our correspondent, disowned some groups of people who are calling on the Kano State Government to dissolve the four emirates and install the deposed Emir Sanusi Lamido as the sole emir in the state, which is a great set back to the earlier development recorded under the five emirates.
