Vice President Kashim Shettima and Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, were joined by their wives, Nana Kashim Shettima and Dr Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, on Friday in Lagos, to pay Sallah homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Eid el Fitr (Sallah) is celebrated by Muslims around the world to mark the end of Ramadan fast.
The Vice President, on the same Friday, after the personal visit, led governors of the 36 states and the leadership of the National Assembly, to pay a visit to the president.
The age-long Sallah homage to the president is usually carried out by selected dignitaries, senior officials of government and stakeholders.
Zulum returned to Maiduguri on Saturday and embarked on an inspection of infrastructures constructed by his administration, these include the new 500 housing estate along Damaturu highway, Borno’s second flyover located near Borno Express terminus, metro housing estate and mega primary school, Muna.
