Vegetables Dealers Association Kano and Jigawa states chapter has extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the fire outbreaks at Badume Market and symphatised with those who lost property during the inferno.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of the association, Alhaji Usman Dan Gwari and made available to our correspondent, the association described the incident as very shocking, especially with the recording of loss of lives and property worth millions of Naira.
“On behalf of the vegetables growers and dealers across Kano and Jigawa states, I wish to condole the families of those who lost their lives during the inferno and symphatise with all those who lost property as a result of the midnight fire outbreak at Badume Market last Friday night”, the statement said.
Similarly, the association commended the executive chairman of Bichi Local Government Council, Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Sabo for constituting a committee that would investigate and bring out strategies that would tackle future occurrence of fire outbreaks in the market and thanked the Emir of Bichi for symphatising with the victims since the occurrence of the incident.
The association announced readiness to contribute immensely to bring an end to fire outbreaks at Badume Market and restore profitable businesses at the market for economic development and self-reliance.
